I really hated the University of Minnesota. Over the years their integrety has fallen down. They spend more money on new "TCF Stadiums", shiny buildings, and research than what matters - the students. Some of their graduate programs are ok, but undergrad is truly horrific. The professors care more about research and grants than helping the students learn and achieve. Half my teachers and over half my TA's were foreign. Although it is the TA's that do most of the work and answer questions. But I really didn't expect much considering the school has over 50,000 students. I truly know the meaning of "just a number". The red tape was excruciating as well.
