I strongly suggest transfer students who are considering a science degree from Mills to make sure you have completed all gen. ed. requirements before coming to Mills, especially if you are an older student (23+), and that you have a good grasp on the sciences. The faculty have made it quite clear they have very little time for older students who do not understand science and math at the same levels as their younger students. I have also found many of the science faculty to be condescending and impatient with students who struggle to wrap their heads around difficult chemistry and math problems. I have even overheard a few biology and chemistry teachers make fun of their students.
