Nightlife: The Lindenwood party scene is basically just Main Street St. Charles. The series of bars along Main Street are intended to be 21+ but as long as you have a fake id, someone else's id or an over 21 wristband getting in is relatively uncomplicated. If you possess none of these, you might as well drink alone in your dorm because there is rarely anything else going on. Parties in on campus housing and in dorms are broken up about half the time and party-goers are ordered to complete community service.

Food: The food is mediocre. Donnie the egg lady is probably the best part of breakfast. The Lindenwood cafeteria offers a "vegan" food area but all the food there is unrecognizable and always looks like it has been sitting there for a day or two. The fruit, generally apples, bananas and pears, is a hit or miss. The bananas are squishy by the end of the week and the pears are always rock solid. The cereal and salad bar are pretty good. There are always massive lines for entrees and salad and sometimes just to put your tray up. Also, the cafeteria is only open for dinner from 4:30-6 on weekends.

Security: Lindenwood security is not great. It is basically 5 guys that ride around in trucks. It is not hard to sneak someone of the opposite sex into your dorm. If you call them with a complaint, they take ages to respond to it if they come at all.

Housing: The dorms are decent. The newer dorms have hardly any problems. In the older dorms you have community showers and there are lots of strange noises that presumably come from the water and air conditioning pipes. The rules are horrible. No one of the opposite sex is allowed to be in your room before 4pm has to leave most nights around midnight. You have to keep your door open and RA's patrol to make sure you are doing so. Also, in the spring, they wait until a month after it gets hot to turn on the air conditioning. Campus housing is your best alternative. However, getting into a house is difficult. Most people are unable to secure a spot until their junior year unless they have older friends. If you get a house, check it out first because the ovens are sometimes unusable or not there at all.

Classes: Take Dr. Stein's sociology classes. He is the best professor at Lindenwood. Getting a 4.0 at Lindenwood is not difficult. The classes are comparable to any community college (in fact a few professors also teach at SCCC).

Faculties: The track attracts geese and their geese poo. The gym is crowded most nights. The tennis courts are mostly hidden and therefore always vacant. The swimming pool is literally the oldest and smallest collegiate swimming pool on this side of the river. The library and computer lab do not stay open as late as those without computers would like.

People: Most are either St. Charles residents or foreigners.

Sports: Lindenwood participates in NAIA athletics. I hear the women's hockey team is pretty good. Synchronized swimming is also doing well for how new the program is. The football team is decent. Men's lacrosse didn't do so well but women's lacrosse went to nationals. The track team is severely disorganized but does seem to do well despite.

In sum, if you are thinking about going to this school don't. It is not worth your time. You will deprive yourself of a real college experience.

questionHey.. i got an acceptance of business administration from Lindenwood, and im an international student, and i will attend this coming fall on August 2012… im really afraid of making this decision, WHY? well, because of all those comments that people made about the uni.. most of these complaints were about things that not related or important for students education.. for instance, the campus, dorm, parking, announcement and so on. so, my question needs an honest answer, do you advise me to not attend this school? since i don't care about the campus, or dorm and so forth.
