I myself am Christian, but am a different denomination than Southern Baptist. Over all Liberty ONLINE is a good program, but I resent constantly having religion shoved down my throat in classes that do not pertain to religion or theology. In one instance I was penalized a full letter grade because I refused to elaborate on a biblical scripture in a psychology of childhood class even when I explained to the professor before hand I would not as I objected to mixing science and religion. Be forewarned everything you encounter at Liberty has a religious bent.

Other than that Liberty is a very good way to go for distance education and is reasonably priced. I had taken classes here, there, and nearly everywhere and was given a good bit of transfer credit. Class postings to the bulletin board for credit can get rather silly at times and make for busy work and I wish they would just stop doing it. Although I would go back to the online program at American Military University (also known as American Public University) if I were not so close to graduating, I also recommend Liberty if you can stand the zealousness.

As far as getting a job, or it being a well-respected degree, Liberty is regionally accredited and has an enrollment total online and on campus of 25,000 combined. Liberty is well know and I have spoken to some graduate schools of psychology and based on what they are seeing in my record say I should not have a problem getting in somewhere next year.
