Unless you are a small-town kind of person, with little aspiration to do anything worthwhile and also hoping to major in music, dance, or a medical field, there is NO point to attending this university. It will be an utter waste of time.

The worst part of this university is the administration. They are clueless. They have made so many mistakes and don't know how to deal with transfer students at all. I have received conflicting answers about things from almost everyone I speak to. As a first year student (no matter if you are a senior transfer or a regular freshman) they assign classes for you to take—you don't even get to pick them yourself. You don't have a real advisor, and they offer no guidance.

You also MUST pay a ludacris 500$ Technology fee, and they "give you" a Macbook Pro. But you have to give it back, or buy it at the end of your time at the school. You end up paying about 4000 to rent a computer that costs 1000.

It's also very true about the university changing programs left and right. Good luck figuring out what courses you need to take, it would seem that this school would ideally have everyone here for 5 and 1/2 years.

For a school that costs as much as an ivy league, but only has about 1500 undergrad students on the main campus, it is disgusting how little the administration has it together. Expect to have to be VERY proactive, and met with at least 4 or 5 different people, if you have any problems with your courses, programs, transcripts, etc.

And the city of Winchester is very backwards with no culture or art whatsoever. You'll have to drive to DC (a little over an hour's drive) for that.
