I love it here! This is my second quarter. It's the only CSU campus that offers BS. Bioinformatics. Faculties are VERY friendly and helpful.

Don't under-estimate the coursework you will be receiving. It seemed easy at first, but you will always fail if you don't do the work (of course).

Always use the tutoring facilities as much as possible.

There's not much things to do by campus, but it's pretty close to Victoria Garden, Lake (Arrowhead, Gregory, Silverwood, Hemet and Green Valley), Big Bear, Crestline, Mt. Baldy, and (for waterfall fans) Big Falls (tallest waterfall in So. Calif 500 ft).

There's events always going on in the Student Union, I love the big concerts they threw here (on fall and spring qtrs), "Shiny Toy Guns" played here last fall '10.

I live in the "Arrowhead Villages" it's very nice and quiet, depending on what you request when you apply for housing.

If you want to party (I don't suggest it, once you get here b/c of all the work), however, you can join "Lubos Paso." I wish I could join b/c they're do all the fun things, but… like I said, there's a lot of work they require you to do here… It's also a quarter system, so everything is much faster.

The acceptance rate here is 64.2% according to the US News and it's lower than any other CSU. Their minimum GPA is also higher than any other CSU 3.2 then they lowered it to 2.7 the last time I checked. Other CSU's minimum is 2.0. Their graduation rate is 12% according to US News also, as you can see… It's very challenging here. That's why there's not much time to party… :(
