Date: Sep 08 2011 Major: Design Arts - Industrial Design/Graphic Design/etc (This Major's Salary over time) GMU wasn't even on my list of universities/colleges I was applying to but I ended going there because my sister was already attending American University in DC and I didn't want to burden him with debt. Mason is just an "o.k" school just because I made some friends there and because it was close to where I lived. I didn't learn much at Mason and none of my instructors inspired or even remotely motivated me. It just doesn't have the college/higher education feel I was looking for like when I visited VA Tech and Maryland. Heck, attending West Virginia looked like a better bet come to think of it.Anyway, GMU has gone through great lengths to become a top tier school. They've built new engineering and art building, there are new dorms and a new rec center. Pretty much it, but if you really want to learn and get a good job (especially now!), I say avoid this school, trust me, you won't learn anything.
