I was/am a adult student returning to school. Not going to comment on student life or the like. I had nothing to do with that. I went to class and went home

Western is a dump, plain and simple. Over 3/4 of the buildings that I had classes in were dirty, not kept up at all. Just slap a coat of paint on the wall to cover the dirt. Missing floor/ceiling tiles. The other 1/4 were either just redone or built within 15 years, but even in those you could see the neglect starting.

Classes are beyond over filled. 60 people in a room built for a max of 45, tops. One class I was in had 150 people in it, that in itself is fine, but the lecture hall we were placed in only held just over 100! Does no one LOOK at the class sizes to room sizes?! Guess not.

The Profs in general are okay. Nothing special. Some are good, some stink, a select few are amazing.

Overall for the cost of Western and the class sizes do not add up. Spent a year at this place and have decided to take a year off and then transfer out. Look into either Grand Valley; Ferris State; Northern (even if its bitter cold in the winter) are better schools. On all accounts!
