Date: Oct 11 2012 Major: Education (This Major's Salary over time) I enrolled in GCU with a real fear that it was a scam operation. I was delighted to find that my fears were unfounded. GCU's programs give you exactly what you put into them, and if you're not willing to work independently, don't bother. While there was flux in the individuals I talked to in reference to graduation progress and financial aid, there was no deviation in the program requirements and the level of work. I graduated in 18 months with my MEd. and earned Praxis scores that qualified for distinction of excellence. The program prepared me very well, had depth and rigor, and progressively weeded out those who had no business in a masters program in the first place. My degree has been acknowledged and accepted at every employer I have approached. I am extremely satisfied with my experience and have recommended it (with great success) for two individuals—one finished her BSN with GCU and one is in her final three classes of the BA in Education. Once again, if you're not the sort to work independently and take personal initiative and responsibility for your own education, no online program is for you. If you are prepared for this sort of program, GCU is an excellent choice.
