GCU provided me with the tools to further my own education. The texts, assignments, and lectures pushed me to think in new ways about the subject matter we discussed. I had previously attended a local community college and a large state school (an ACC member), but had left without a degree to pursue a job offer. GCU was my opportunity to finish my degree. I did go through a few advisers before my team settled; my only other complaint would be that I felt that they could have accepted an additional transfer credit (they didn't take my Western Civ to cover their World History requirement, but when I took World History we didn't discuss any culture outside of Western Civ).

But, overall, I think GCU is at the forefront of for profit schools, who are striving to do what it takes to make their ground school as large and successful as the online cohort. They have a beautiful campus, and have successfully made the transition into Division I sports. How many online schools have done that? I also appreciate the Christian outlook of the university.
