ITT Techs new nursing program seems thrown together, and not well planned out. At first I thought it would be a great idea (going to a brand new program), however now that I'm in the program I've realized its better to choose a school that has been around for a long time, and knows the right way to do things. The first concern is the hidden out of pocket costs. When signing up for the program, I was told there are minimum costs. When I asked specifically what the costs were, I was told "We'll go over that later". I asked the financial aid person and she said "Its all taken care of in the loans".
Now that I'm in the program and having trouble keeping up with these out of pocket costs, I was told they would help me, But it has been 6 weeks and I have received no help, and nobody is keeping me updated on the status of "help" they offered.
The Director and Dean of the school seem to have masks on, and pre programmed responses for us, when we bring up concerns.
The classes are mostly "Self Taught" which can be expected from any college, however some of the students seem to be more intelligent about the subjects than the instructors.
Over all, Be Prepared, and Do your Research before signing up. Your credits wont transfer to a REAL college, decide quickly if you want out if you've started already so you dont waste time & money on a program you have no faith in.

“I'm about to graduate from ITT Tech withElectrical Engineering
I'm about to graduate from ITT Tech with a BS in Electronics Engineering. So, here is how I rate it.
The Financial Aid department is top notch. They do all the work for you, and they got me many grants that totaled about $17,000 for me, over 4 years.

The Student Representatives are very poor. I met with mine the month I started school there, and never again. He quit, I got another one that I met a few times and he checked up on me. He quit. I don't know who my rep has been for the past two years.
The Career Services department are fairly good. They assisted me in getting many interviews, several job offers. I'm currently in a job that accepted my ITT Associates degree, and I'm making ~$20/hr. They also offer free job search help for life once you graduate with any degree.
The full time instructors that they hire seem to be great! I had two with Masters, and one with a Doctorates degree. It is readily apparent they want you to succeed because they will invest a lot of time and effort into you to help you out. Unfortunately, they're cutting these down and hiring adjuncts.
The adjunct instructors are hit and miss. I've had some that are really good and want you to succeed like the full time instructors. I've had others that you have to question why they are teachers because they seem to be worthless.
The school administration seems to be ok. Everytime I've asked for something from them, I've gotten the help I needed. However, they don't seem to want to go out of their way to look for what you need. The program chairs are the exception. They seem to be very good natured, and willing to go the extra mile for you.
For school atmosphere, it's cheerful overall. They spend some on free snacks and parties for the student body.
However, there is some lacking. I didn't learn basic skills like soldering, and how to read some devices - spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, etc. I feel these are important to making it in the field, and that is where I had to learn them. School did not teach them to me.
My advice for anyone wanting to go there?Take your gen ed classes at a community college. Then transfer those credits in. Each year my credit cost went up. From $385/hr when I started, to $465/hr when I ended. Don't get one of the offered laptops. You can get twice the laptop for half the price in a good store. When you graduate, you'll have a lot of alumni in the field that are willing to help a fellow ITT graduate out. I know, I've benefited from the connections.

If you are just looking to purchase a degree without doing any real work, this is a school for you. Each class moves at the pace of the slowest student.
