Positive Negative Neutral Advice
The admissions/counseling/financial aid faculty are very rudBrightEconomics
The admissions/counseling/financial aid faculty are very rude, everyone who works there is on a power trip too many employees there are arrogant and could care less about the quality of their students, the professors are awesome however, Professor Bronkar is probably one of the best professors there, maybe in all of the college campuses in So Cali. Try to avoid at all costs the elderly lady who works reception in the transfer center, she gets annoyed pretty easily especially if you ask her for too much help, and as for the computers, don't even try to print out transcripts or send emails to other UC counselors, this lady is strict!! As for the counselors, avoid at all costs Henry Sauceda, Jose Rodriguez, and that really tall black dude who normally works counseling at the transfer center, you can't miss him, hes bald and really arrogant, people tell me he's a former marine, but I just think thats an excuse for him to be rude to all the male students, I went in once, made an appointment 3 weeks in advance, only to get 5 minuites with him total, he gave me 20 seconds to tell him what I wanted, which was advice on transfering to UC Berkley, he then lifted his hand and told me to stop talking, and proceeded to tell me if I knew what the internet was, and to learn to use it, he also was very rude when I asked him for help with college recomendations, he just told me to do what he told me with the internet and that it wasn't his problem, however the girls that he helped before and after me were treated entirely different, all the counslors I mentioned, Henry, Jose, and the former marine person are very sexist, I've seen how they act around girls, making sexual inuendos, and when I took Henry Sauceda for counseling 101, my classmate kept complaining about how he kept giving her these creepy looks, and inapproporiate touching, overall he kinda reminds me of a latin larry flint, really creepy perve... Oh yeah one more thing, stay away from those two overweight receptionists who work at the counsling office, they are insanely rude, the worst case of power trip ive ever seen, if you dont treat them like theyre god, good luck with getting any appointments or help, i really am appalled at how unprofessional and unhelpful their service is, I mean no reprimed from the college boards?? Im soo shock theyre still even open, this school is a joke, nothing but gang bangers and pregnant girls who go the first 3 weeks just to find a man and then they drop, oh yeah theres a HUGE amount of racisim ESPECIALLY if you're a non-hispanic.

Question
Rio Hondo College is a very good 2Business - Management and Administration
Rio Hondo College is a very good 2 year Coomunity College with supportive faculty and staff. It has great science and math programs, great nursing, police and fire science programs and offers excellent college prep classes. Rio Hondo is what you make it. It can be a fun party school but don't get carried away. Parking can be a hassle. One piece of advice that few follow: don't get stuck there, transfer out after taking your 60 units! Finish what you start! Good luck in college!
