The upper level faculty are very arrogant.BrightPsychology
The upper level faculty are very arrogant. You will most likely be brushed off when you confront them with a problem. They don't care about the well being of their students. It seems like almost anyone can be a professor at GGC. I've had numerous teachers who lack professional skills and teaching abilities. Half of the faculty can't speak clear, fluent English. That makse it very hard to learn and understand material. Overall, the atmosphere of GGC Is great. It's a clean, safe campus, and majority of the students are friendly. Just be careful of the professors you choose. Always do your research. If you ever have a problem, address it immediately. Be VERY clear with all of your professors and ask questions whenever necessary about assignments, tests, classwork, etc. Those teachers have pretty much free reign to do what they want, grade how they want, and run over students as they please. It's best to just avoid conflict. When situations arise, the professors side will most likely be taken.

This is a 4 year public school that excels at allowing students the opportunity of gaining a quality education at an affordable price. Many of the professor have graduated from reputable schools and/or retired from successful careers. If you are looking for a school that you will learn about your areas of interest, this is the college for you. Also, the technology at this school is second to none.

Question
While GGC is a great college, it isBrightPsychology
While GGC is a great college, it is well known that it is relatively easy to get in. I started my freshman year and am now transferring out to a bigger university, which is what most students do. However, there are some students that go there purely because it's cheap or PELL grant will pay for everything. Keep in mind, students here are in one of two categories- those who work for what they want and those who feel that they are entitled to everything. It can tend to be frustrating to those students who actually try and work to succeed. While it is a good school, a fair amount of students are... for a lack of better words, completely ghetto. Also, parking is absolutely TERRIBLE. 11,000 students and 4,000 parking spots... As a commuter, I have to come to class 45 minutes early just to park. On the positive side though, the buildings/campus are very modern and updated. GGC really utilizes technology and incorporates it into the classroom, which is really cool. The faculty are outstanding, I've rarely had to switch classes because I didn't like the professor. Professors are really nice, understanding and aren't focused solely on research- they actually want their students to learn. Small class sizes are also a plus, with most classes maxing out at 24 students.
