Georgia Tech is highlyNot so brightElectrical Engineering
Georgia Tech is highly overrated. It has a "that which does not kill you makes you stronger" mentality that causes a high retention rate. If you plan on having no social life and doing integrals the rest of your life, this is your college.

Question
The first thing that a person looking atQuite BrightElectrical Engineering
The first thing that a person looking at Tech has to understand about it is that people here love to complain. I swear, it's like the campus pastime. Next, let me just say that I love it here. Sure, it's hard, but let's face it, any college worth going to is challenging. Attitude makes a big difference here. I haven't experienced the problems with social life that other people have mentioned. Football games, yelling "To Hell with Georgia", the wonderful weather, the down-to-earth attitudes, the unexpected realization that the guy living across the hall from you is a bona fide genius, lunch at Junior's, spending huge quantities of time in Brittain despite the shitty food, working together to conquer the seemingly impossible calc class, making a C in Physics 2 despite never passing a test... This is Georgia Tech.

Question
Three Things to know:Quite BrightElectrical Engineering
Three Things to know:

-Tech is not hard. There are plenty of lazy and stupid people in this school, so that tests and grades always curve up.

-Tech doesn't have the "college feeling"
Maybe its the lack of girls, maybe its the fact that everyone here majors in engineering. But this place doesn't feel like college. More like a trade school, where they teach you to be an engineer and nothing more.

-(Guys not going Greek)This place is boring as hell.(especially for people in all male dorm with antisocial people on your floor)Knowing what I know now, I would definitely not go to Georgia Tech or any Tech school. Only apply here if you are in-state(unbeatable value) or a girl(girls seems to be happy here). I would advise you to attend a well-balanced university that has a decent science/engineering department. College is not just about learning.
