If you are a moderately high achiever, I would not recommend this school. It is very small and filled with generally mediocre students and professors. Due to its size the faculty is approachable. When I was a student they touted the Business School. It retrospect it was only average.Given the very high cost of tuition these days, you would be much better off going to a state school or a more elite private school.

I went to Rutgers for 2 years before I transferred to Rider. It was a breath of fresh air. You get out of college what you put in. You have to know what you want out of your college experience in order to get it. Then you can shop around for a school that best serves your needs. Rider is a small, private school that is about 1 hour away from Philly and NYC. It's also close to Princeton University, The College of New Jersey, and Rutgers. If you have a car and know how to have fun, Rider is perfectly situated geographically for hardy parties and weekend getaways. Academically, Rider is known for having strong Business, Accounting and Education programs.

I am an education student at rider university. my professors are always willing to give you any help or advice you may need. everyone on campus is very friendly.
it is very family oriented. there's plenty to do as longas you get involved. has been a great experience so far.
