I majored in civil engineering, and had no problem gettinQuite BrightCivil Engineering
I majored in civil engineering, and had no problem getting a job after graduation. Course was challenging, professors were ok, overall good experience. Some physics professors were, in my opinion, less than adequate, by giving very little instruction and expecting us to know everything without being taught. The only other problem I encountered while at ONU were some problems with the financial aid office. They were very slow at answering questions and getting things done.

Question
Every teacher is different.Quite BrightOther
Every teacher is different. What I really hate about this school is the nit-pickiness. Too many teachers go beyond the facts or what is necessary just to make things ten times harder than they need to be. However, I still love the school overall and most of the professors. Dorm life sucks...so does Ada.

Question
Don't get me wrong, the education at Northern is top notchBrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Don't get me wrong, the education at Northern is top notch and hard to find in this part of the country. I will always maintain that the business college prepared me well for the real world.

That being said, the social life at this school can easily be compared to that of a high school isolated in the middle of a cornfield. Everyone knows pretty much everyone. And drama spreads fast in such a small group of people. The lack of diversity (racial as well as geographical) contributes to these factors.

It can be painfully boring on the weeknights when you have no school work. Ada is very small: two fast food restaurants, 2.5 bars (and one additional townie bar), and little in the way of shopping within an hour. I spent five years at ONU, played four years on a varsity athletics team, made some great friends, and got an excellent education. The downside being that you get the drama of a high school with nothing to do but hang out in the drama. Be advised that you have to make your own fun in Ada...or be prepared to study for fun.
