Ameritech has been SO disappointing, from the beginning.Quite BrightNursing
Ameritech has been SO disappointing, from the beginning. They miscommunicated the application process, which ended up putting my OB the wait list. I eventually was accepted, but the reason I was waitlisted was not my fault. They failed to provide me with vital information, the advisor apologized, but that still doesn't make up for it. The entire school is unorganized. They don't give you any information regarding courses and what to expect during clinicals. They don't tell you how many clinical shifts you will be doing until either the week before the semester starts, or when you show up to that clinical. There are only a handful of good instructors. The majority, don't care about your education. They don't write their own test questions, so the information you're tested on doesn't come from the books or the lecuture. When the entire class fails the exam because of this, the instructors blame the students, instead of acknowledging their errors. The entire staff talk down to students, and act like students are nothing but a burden to them when students ask questions, or try to get a problem solved. The clinical director is passive aggressive and incredibly rude to students, putting them down and attacking them for simple miscommunications. The staff (with the exception of a few good instructors) are terrible. Ameritech causes more stress than not. I deeply regret choosing this school, and if I could change the past, I would chose another program to go to nursing school for.
