Case is great school when it comes to preparing you for the real world. They go out of their way to help you find jobs after graduation and internships/Co-Ops while you are an undergrad. The cost of education is a bargain as long as you take advantage of the various merit based scholarships that the university offers. However, the sticker price of the university is WAY TO HIGH for what the university is. You will be given the chance to interact with world-renown faculty because the student to quality faculty member ratio is probably lower than most places. HOWEVER. THE POINTS THAT I SPECIFICALLY LISTED ABOVE ARE THE ONLY - I REPEAT, THE ONLY - THINGS GOOD ABOUT THIS UNIVERSITY. (I WILL TRY TO ONLY OUTLINE NEGATIVE THINGS ABOUT THIS SCHOOL THAT HAVEN'T BEEN MENTIONED IN PREVIOUS COMMENTS)You need to have a car if you want to have any fun here. And if you do have a car, be prepared to shell out at least $300/semester for parking. The school is bent on taking a hard line approach towads alcohol on campus and students invariably will go to off-campus parties. It almost seems as if the univesrity is promoting drinking and driving. By pushing all the alcohol off campus, the university has effectively removed liability from itself, but not for the good of the student. This is a prime example of how the school approaches issues. It considers the well-fare of the student last among all things. In the last year the university has recognized many of it's faults and implimented a new, student-friendly "master plan." It won't be complete for another 10-15 years or so. Unless you are reading this in 2012, DO NOT COME TO CASE. |
