There are places for everyone to fit in and have fun , the difficult part is simply finding that niche you fit into. Because this is such a big school it takes some real initiative to get involved and get out and meet people, but if you are willing to go out and do this it will be the best experience of your life. Work is challenging, though it varies widely based on your course of study. Grade inflation is something the school fights to keep down, though in CAS often you may find classes to be easy. If you are in CGS or SMG grades come tougher. Your grades here as most places are dependent on the comittment you are willing to put toward them.Social life is good. Regardless of what you are into, in a school of 20,000 undergrads, you will meet people and make friends. Most likely, you'll do this in your freshman dorm, and keep those friends for the rest of your time here. As far as nightlife, whether you want to go to parties, or clubs, or a movie, shoot pool, there are always things to do. This is not a party school, but if you are looking for things to do on weekends, there's no shortage.Feel free to e-mail me, if you're considering the school, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone. |
