I went to an average size high school (around 1600 students) where everyone knew my family to Michigan where I was initially just a number in a sea of 24,000 undergraduates. Michigan has taught me responsibility and has allowed me to try out many things that I would not have dreamed of in my typical suburban hometown. After two years, I have made some great friends, am double majoring in two things I really enjoy (Poli Sci and Psych) and look forward to my hopefully successful future ahead. Michigan is what you make of it. If you come with the attitude that this is your second choice school because number one ivy league choice turned you down, then you will not take advantage of the emmense resources and great faculty. Yet if you come to Michigan thinking you will make the most of what is availible, your four years will be exciting, intellectually stimulating and very memorable. I will always treasure the years I will get to spend in Ann Arbor. Go Blue! |
