Some of my classes were wonderful, others were terrible. There is a growing sense of overcrowding in both classrooms and cafeterias as the school administration tries feverishly to increase the school's size and pocketbook. I find GW's immediate surroundings to be very ugly, though we are minutes away from a plethora of great DC locations, such as the Mall, White House, and Georgetown. Socially I found GW very difficult to maneuver with an overabundance of snobs, common to most universities. There is also a lack of community at GW since many students here were rejected from their top choice schools. If it wasn't for a few highly motivated and hardworking students at GW, the academic climate would be very unpleasant. |
