The multidisciplinary approach taken by the engineering department puts mechanical engineering classes in the place of important electrical engineering classes. Very little flexibility is left in the major and taking courses not strictly in the degree program is very difficult and time consuming (expect to be enrolled for more then 4 years). If you know that you want to go into electrical engineering / computer engineering / or computer science then this school is not for you. It will leave you in quite a bit of debt for a state school and with a general engineering degree not an electrical engineering degree. Some of the other departments are quite good, but I would never recommend attending this school for electrical engineering / computer engineering / or computer science, I guarantee that you will regret it as graduation approaches. |
