Even after 22 years, my BJU degree causes me problems. The general perception is that BJU is racist and far right wing. If you're lucky, you will have to explain your attendance to prospective employers. If you're not lucky, you won't get the job interview because its on your resume and you'll never know why. The lack of accredidation can also cause problems, even years later. BJU credits do not transfer very easily despite what they say. College is a life-time investment and BJU isn't a good start. Fortunately, I was able to do graduate work at a good school. I would hate to think what would happen if I only had a BJU degree. |
