I think it's important that you find a school that fits both your academic credentials and your personality type. I found it helpful, when l was looking at undergrad programs, to meet other people in my prospective major, since that really made the choice easier when it came to decision time and I decided on Carnegie Mellon. I had a fabulous time at carnegie mellon- nowhere else do you get the blend of really talented artistic students (art, drama, music) and really smart computer /science people together on a campus.

It also helps to contribute to your college community and participate in organizations- spring carnival, marching band, service orgs, or what have you, because you only get out what you put in. It's not for everybody, but for the right people, it's a wonderful place and you have a great time. My experiences at CMU have truly contributed to the person/artist I am now, and I find myself referring to my experiences there a lot, as well as keeping in contact with all the friends I made there…
