Carnegie Mellon is a pretty tough school…it acts as a crucible. Put a lot of really intelligent people in, put them under an intense amount of stress, and see who comes out thriving. You do tend to develop strong and lasting friendships because of sharing this trial by fire! For art students, the opportunities to study outside one's major are extremely valuable (they were for me, at least). |
