Western Michigan University is a great school. They are not UofM or MSU but they don't pretend to be either. The greek community is very strong and all the sporting events are free to students, so there is always something to do. The campus is well-maintained and the tech infrastructure is great. WMU offers a webkit that allows off-campus users (or just lazy students who don't want to leave the dorms) the ability to dial up and access the web, email accounts (free thru the school) and the WMU library all on line for free! That's right, no need to pay for AOL, if your a student- WMU will set you up. I was able to research entire papers, using journal article and other online date, without ever leaving my room. And, if you have to get a book, you can check the online card catalog to see if its in (and reserve if need be) before you head out to the library.
