SUNY B is Long Island moved upstate, all spoiled, apathetic and vapid people from that corner of the state. The town was supposed to be cool before the strip malls moved in a few years ago, which took all life out of the city. The campus is too far away from the center of the city to have valuable interactions between the two. The main attractions to most students include Wallmart and the many TV channels dorm rooms receive. Not a very socially-conscious lifestyle for most kids except for the extreme hippies whose voices are stifled by the administration anyway. If you want environmentally and socially friendly fun times and education its not really the place for you. Still, Ralph Nader is said to appreciate what the college's NYPIRG and activist groups have done. The environmental science program is excellent, but is it worth coming to this terrible place? |
