The University is still growing, and more and more freshmen are enrolled…which means EWU's price tag is going up. Most incoming students are from the Western Side of the State now. There's not too much to do in Cheney, Spokane offers more entertainment. vegetarians/vegans will have it rough (unless you don't mind cooking for yourself) in beef country. Off campus housing is reasonable, on-campus is a rip off. Nice area to live for winter sports. Professors are generally good, helpful and friendly. They have a desire to offer quality instruction. University Adminstration on the other hand…not so great. Pray that you never need to go to the Dean of Students or any other campus office for any reason—he's not that helpful.Beware of your general academic advisor! Their hearts are in the right place, but double check EVERY class they sign you up for…become familar with the undergrad catalogs, they'll save you from taking repeat & unnessary credits—your advisor is iffy. |
