It's tough coursework prepares students to any challeges that come their way. If applying to this school, it is good to have a decent GPA and grade-point average.(Do not take this to strictly because a a former high school advisor told me that I would never make it in, and that I should apply to a small, uncompetitive school.) Personally, if you have a high GPA and a lower SAT, such as I did, I would definitely apply. If coming to this school, come with high expectations and hopes, and ignore others' attitudes about the school around you. It is possible to not be a genius here, have a tough engineering major (both CH E and BME), and have above a 3.75 GPA. Lastly, try to be an open-minded well rounded individual. To succeed in this school, it helps if you have leadership skills and knowledge in many areas. In closing, many students who come to Tech are usually among the best in their high schools and they expect it to be the same here. If you worked hard throughout high school and fought for each inch, you will probably do very well here. |
