However, it fails in regards to other aspects of the college experience. The campus is beset by cliques and there is very little social life to speak of. The Administration considers leisure time to be an irresponsible waste of time and wishes that students would spend their time at something more productive than socializing or having fun. That said, the professors here are engaging and brilliant, and the coursework is quite interesting. I have yet to depart for Study Abroad and everybody raves about their experiences in K's programs. Study Abroad is a definite perk that the College rightly touts to high school students. On the flipside, the balleyhooed Career Center is garbage. They're in the midst of moving their files to the Internet foreasier accessibilitybut this process has taken over a year and the Career Center has been stymied, offering no real jobs or internships apart from student work positions at the College. So K College is a mixed bag. Don't be fooled by propeganda; but if you know what you're getting into, it's a great education. |
