The first is that upon completion of your degree, you will be in line to make a handsome starting salary at a respectable company. You will receive a level of education that is superior to that of many institutions. However, the second expectation that you should have is that Georgia Tech's reputation alone will not carry you. You will have to work twice as hard as your peers who attended other institutions and you must make comparable grades. You will likely have less fun, perhaps much less. This institution is not out to get you, as many of its students complain, but it does not make any apologies for the quality and level of work required to meet its standards. If you are choosing a college expecting to have a fun, lighthearted experience LOOK ELSEWHERE, trust me. However if you are looking to put yourself through the meatgrinder to become a hard worker, test your limits and build some character, this is your school. |
