I can't imagine how boring and unfulfilling it would have been to haven taken 12 credits (the bare minimum) per semester and to have done nothing else but sit around and get drunk. The No. 1 piece of advice I'd offer to incoming students: Go to Student Activities Night, see what's out there, and join things. Also: A big shout-out to the journalism and philosophy departments, where the teachers actually care about their students (and sometimes bum cigarettes off them). |
