If you like to drink every night of the week, go to PC. The bar scene is small and decent, but by the time you turn 21, it gets pretty boring. However, downtown providence is an awesome place to party, hang out, see live music etc. House parties are pretty sick for a school that has no frats whatsover. The off-campus scene is really good, but I have heard that lately the fascist and racist Providence Police have been cracking heads around PC. Do your best to steer clear of these lunatics. Basically everyone that goes to this school is rich, white, conservative, Catholic and from the greater Boston area. The students are also very cliquish and REALLY preppy. However, if you acutally go out and meet people there are a good number of excellent people at PC. If you are looking for diversity it is not here. The work load is pretty light, I knew kids that graduated from PC in four years that would have never graduated from other schools given 6-7 years. I was a political science major which was somewhat difficult compared to most other majors. The faculty in the Polisci dept. were for the most part, awesome people and great professors; all really down to earth. I cannot say the same for other departments. The adminstration has no idea what the students want, yet the students have no way of petitioning the admin., leaving a sort of gridlock in that regard. The admin is VERY catholic and it shows in th fact that pareitals still exist, meaning that men cannot be a ladies dorm after 2:00 AM. This will probably never change, so as a result, many move off campus. IMO, if want a degree from what is condisered to be a prestigous school (on par with Holy Cross and Villanova) and do very little work and have a good time, go to PC.
