I was expelled in 1982 (3 weeks before graduation) for drawing a cartoon called "Dormsbury" that poked fun at BJU's weird attitude toward government and minorities ( and "mixed bathing" and dating and sex and…etc…) In 1984 I returned (yes they let me back in BUT I had to retake my senior year PLUS pay the whole year in advance)and finished my BS degree. BE WARNED - they play rough at BJU. You can learn a great deal—more than your average "state" college—if you play your cards right. BJU is definitely a (THE?) "Harvard" or "Yale" of christian colleges. Not all teachers agree with the school's policies so some faculty members will protect you and stick up for you if need be. If you're going to go, take a deep breath and hold on—BJU will give you the ride of your life—come on, kids, it's only college! |
