Not so much that one was actually able to study and graduate while living in new orleans, but because Tulane students are so well-rounded - smart, but at the same time "real" people who know how to interact well and succeed. I actually had prospective employers tell me that they enjoyed interviewing Tulane alumni and I was offered jobs because of my degree from Tulane. At the time of my first job out of college I was offered a better position with a much better salary than friends of mine in the city where I lived and who had graduate degrees. I left that particular career and started a business in a completely different field, but my Tulane connections were a tremendous help in getting my business going and in luring prospective clients. |
