Through different classes in political science and physical science, I was urged to think critically. This has helped me immensely as I've pursued numerous opportunities in political work. It's kind of interesting to read some of the comments where people talk about how hard it is to get ahead with a Bob Jones degree…yet BJ grads are in leadership position in a number of companies and organizations. Bob Jones has graudates with high-level positions in the South Carolina Governor's Office, Lt. Governor's Office and as members of the Senate and House. BJ grads are also on the staffs of several congressmen…both in and out of South Carolina. Asa Hutchinson, deputy secretary of Homeland Security, is a BJ grad. While there are those who may jeer about the university's stands, most respect it as a place where they can get a graduate who works hard and does a great job! |
