By the end of my sophomore year, I wanted to attend a different university. However, my 2 years invested at PCC would not transfer due to the fact that PCC is unaccredited. Knowing that I would have to basically re-do my first two years of college, I just decided to finish my last two years at PCC. My education was sub-standard. During my senior year, I had a graduate student teaching one of my classes who had just graduated the previous year. No experience to be had there. As it goes with nursing, the important thing is to pass state board examination. Fortunately, no accreditation is needed to take that exam. What matters is that you pass. Once your nursing license is in hand, a hospital will hire you. They do not care where you got your degree from. I have since had a successful career in nursing over the past nine years, but to this day, I wish I had gone somewhere else. |
