Midd is a wonderful place to be and it is very challenging. i think that especially for freshman some extracurricular time may suffer due to the workload but normally students enjoy (!) what they're doing so it isn't as bad as it would seem. The school is very liberal; it needs more diversity in the political area but there are other groups out there and overall the student body is pretty tolerant about views and such; more so than you would find elsewhere. It is a great place and even though we are in rural vermont there are constantly multiple events happening so that you can't do everything that you want to! there is little chance of being bored here but a great chance of a good education. i am a first year chinese student and we have already learned in three weeks what most students learn in a semester in high school. even though it's intense it is also superexciting. |
