I loathed Drexel. First, the cost. Your first year, they dole out a ton of financial aid—but after that, you're pretty much on your own. You pay through the nose for everything and anything… So Papa Dicks-Us can ride around in his chaufferred limosine and his wife can go on shopping sprees. Note that his own daughter does NOT attend Drexel!

For a realistic view of Drexel, take a look at www.drexelshaft.com … Seriously, all they do is take your money and then shaft you.

I made some friends amongst the upperclassmen, and not a one of them were happy with Drexel. Apparently most people transfer or drop out before they even get halfway through the five years it takes to graduate from Drexel! School spirit is more along the lines of,

We all hate this school!

The campus SUCKS, unless you like the idea of getting splattered on the pavement by speeding cars through Center City Philadelphia. Oh, and trees? You'll see a total of perhaps 20 on the entire campus, all of them stunted and sickly thanks to the pollution and ill-care. There's quite literally only ONE expanse of grass in the campus, and it's a triangle about 20 yards on a side.

The dorms suck, too—they're all falling apart. The commuter lounge is laughable… it's one small room with a broken TV, three couches, and two loveseats.

The wireless network is okay—assuming you can find a place where it actually WORKS.

Most of your classes will be taught by TAs who don't speak English, or by apathetic and incompetent professors.

And the tuition information on the front page is wrong, btw—it costs nearly $30k/yr, for anything in the Engineering College… Which is the ONLY reason to go.
