The professors were always available and helpful not just with school problems but also just to talk. The political science department has great internship programs as well as a program to allow you to write a research paper for credit. I don't feel like another body walking through to my degree. After completing my education here I have changed my plans. I love the atmosphere so much I hope to transfer to one of the Claremont colleges. After visiting the campus I realized that the "city college" feel is what I want for my degree, not the UC treadmill. SBCC has spoiled me.The English department is crazy. I was lucky to get a decent professor and rearranged my entire schedule so that I was able to take all my reqs from him. This is an ongoing problem. Foreign Language dept. seems the same way. So be wary if these are your majors.CC has an honors program, Phi Theta Kappa and a weekly newspaper. |
