Statistical Analyzer:

Otis College of Art and Design, and in particular; the fashion department was the biggest mistake I have made in my life. All of the fashion students were secluded from the rest of the nice campus and put to a tortuous schedule and almost military style regimen.

Many teachers made rude, negative comments that I would not consider to be "critical criticism". Ex: "Wow, we finally found something you can do right."

An A is rarely given to any student. The students were made to compete and the staff was unfriendly.

I've been working in the apparel industry for several years now, and have managed to find better jobs on my own than what the school placement has done. Most of the coursework had emphasis on the wrong places, and was completely out of date. For example; they had us spending 50 percent of our time drawing and illustrating/ painting…when this technique is not even used anymore. They claim to teach like the "real world" and that the teachers are working in the industry. But none of them are actually designers. If they are, they don't tell you what its actually like.

I could go on and on about my experience there. But I've left it behind. Most of my school mates feel the same way about their experience there, but you will only see opinions like that somewhere like this.
