Fortunately my gamble turned out to be true and NYU became the exact place I wanted it to be. There is no doubt that NYU is not for everyone. If you're a country boy/girl and do not like the big city, then it will tear you apart. But if you are a level-headed, competitive person who strives to embark on a strong career after graduation, then NYU is for you. Attending Stern school gave me opportunities that I wouldn't even have been able to have had I attended an Ivy League school. I was able to land a job in investment banking, and most of my colleagues are Ivy League as well as NYU graduates. If you want a Wall Street career, then NYU is for you because much of NYU's alumni work on 'The Street' and that is not the case with many other schools, which may even be ranked higher than NYU. |
