When applying to the school I looked at a lot of different private schools. But I am so happy I came to UD. I started out as a general business major, then almost chose Finance. I switched to accounting, and learned that the university really has a great career services placement center. If you're interested in accounting specifically (if you'd like to make good money :o)) take a hard look at UD. A lot of large public accounting firms (KPMG, E&Y, etc.) know UD very well and heavily recruit. The summer BEFORE my senior year, I was among a good handful of accounting students who had job offers from a few of the "Big 4" in various cities. Not necessarily because of my schoolwork (I am a straight-B student), but because the university made it very to network and get in on these interviews. That is my plug for the accounting program. A lot of friends of mine are education majors, engineers, etc. and all seem very satisfied with what the university has offered them. Plus it is a beautiful campus, and you can't beat Main Street. |
