Tuskegee is a great University for those students majoring in any form of engineering or planning to attend Veterinary School. Everything else about the school sucks. The Biology Department is week. The department fosters memorization rather than application and understanding. That is why Tuskegee univeristy has students graduating with 3.75 GPA's in the College of Agriculture, Environmental and Natural Sciences that cann't pass the MCAT, DAT, and/or OAT. Check the stats if you think I am lying. The College of liberal arts has no liberal arts building and few professors, some lacking doctoral degrees. All this school has going for it is an old reputation, that is losing momentum due to financial woes and a president that needs to retire do to a lack of alumni support for him or his bad administrative practices. I made the choice to attend a Historically Black College and University, because I feel these universities serve the purpose of establishing blacksin all essential areas of academics. I was accepted to Morehouse, Xavier University of LA, Howard, and Cornell University in Ithaca NY. The only reason I came to Tuskegee, the only reasons that 75% of students go to Tuskegee, is because of an irresistable financial aid package, which in my case it was for FREE!!!!! I would have went to Morehouse College if I could do my senior year of highschool over. |
