Almost anyone can get accepted here, and hence there are lots of people who clearly don't belong in an academic setting. The school has a very poor reputation, and almost no one goes on to attend a prestigious graduate program. This place is fine for people who had a C average in high school, and whose sole ambition for college is to have a good time. The serious student should look elsewhere. And if you're REALLY smart, like a valedictorian or a National Merit Scholar, definitely don't go here. You will be bored and miserable. This is a school for underachievers, and is universally regarded as such. |
