I am a first-semester student at Madison this semester. I have a bachelor's degree from UW-Oshkosh and I came here in hopes of doing grad school. Well, after half a semester, I'm sorry to say I'm really disappointed with Madison. I absolutely hate it. The prof's are self-absorbed, the kids are snooty and think they're Ivy League, and everyone needs a reality check. It's awful. I didn't think people here would be so stuck-up, but they are and I really regret coming here. Madison is the "flagship" of the UW System but they certainly don't act like it. Please go to a different UW school…Oshkosh…Eau Claire…anywhere but here. You'll regret it.
