Sure, there are a lot of kids from LI here, and there are a lot of bad aspects about this school, but, Binghamton is really what you make of it. I am almost finnished with my first year here, and I am having a great time. I live in College in the Woods, and I've met some awesome people. There are always really great parties on the weekends (yes, there is other stuff to do, despite what others have written) You have to approach the school with an open mind, if you approach it close minded, you will hate it. Academically, I love my department. I've gotten to know all the bio profs really well through working with the Nature Preserve group (we have the largest on campus nature preserve in the country, over 900 acres with the new land just purchased) and they treat me really well. All in all, I came here, beleiving stereotypes, but you know, if you just put aside everything, and open up, its a great place. And I am glad I didn't end up going to the other schools I was accepted to. |
