I've reviewed Binghamton on this site a few times and read others' reviews. To be totally fair, it seems like you either love it or hate it here. Personally I hate it, but not everyone feels that way, though I get the feeling that a lot of people do for the reasons mentioned (location, weather, cliquishness, Newing). From my personal observations I'd say about a third of the students hate Binghamton, a third think it's okay/like it just enough not to transfer out, and a third come here and love it. But keep in mind, those who do love it still acknowledge it isn't exactly a spunky lively hip place. If you care more about campus life than city life you will probably like Binghamton and if you care more about city life you will ultimately bored and angry here.
