I was completely unprepared. I sort of defaulted into going to this school, and it is almost miraculous that this school fits as well as it does for me. I love this school. It has opened my eyes above and beyond what I would have expected from college, and I wouldn't change a thing about it.I grant you that the work is difficult, and the students are sometimes…involved with themselves. However, I firmly believe that everyone, after an investment of enough time and effort, can fit in here, both academically and socially. The good thing about Reed's diversity is that there can be a niche for anyone, you just have to find it. And, luckily, everyone here has gone through the same search, so I found them to be incredibly understanding about mine.I think that it was ultimately to my benefit to sit back and let Reed do it's thing for me, which it did, above and beyond any sort of expectation I ever had. |
