I went to PCC with little knowledge of what the college was like. After I had arrived on campus and allowed my surroundings to sink in, I percieved -to my chagrin- that PCC was not the place for me. But, PCC IS for some people. It was during my sophomore year that I began to realize that, had PCC not existed, there would be many people that plainly would never recieve any education further than high school. But, wait, let me describe these "many" of whom I speak. This "many" is composed of those that likely would develop accute schizophrenia or other mental lapse in typical - shall I say "secular"? - social environments. Yes, they are people, too; but society couldn't use them, they're just too sheltered. But, if it weren't for them, PCC would likely be run over by a rebellion. If these sheltered elite didn't run the school clothed in the offices of "floorleaders" and equally demerit-happy "P.L.'s," PCC would probably go absolutly liberal like normal colleges. Trust me, rebellion is suppressed at PCC, but it does exist amongst the student body. I went to PCC for two years, I had and still have many friends there - my views ARE NOT the conceptual minority among the student body. FEAR is the tool of the administration. POWER is the drug of the "many." LIBERTY is the dream of the normal. I've found the answer to my dream; for those who haven't found it - you can make it, have fun, just don't get caught.
